New tools to support the transformation in the Life Sciences sector
Aging populations, chronic and lifestyle diseases, disease outbreaks and technology advances such as recombinant technology and genome sequencing: all these factors are transforming the life sciences sector. HTA partners use their miniaturization, integration, and microengineering expertise to develop new devices, with a focus on components, tools, and systems for tissue engineering, toxicology and pharmacology, and on diagnostics and assays. Focus areas to be mentioned are organ-on-chip, diagnostics and recombinant bioreagents.
